Researchers! Meet your Okanagan research support team: Research Computing, Library, and Office of Research Services. The Centre for Scholarly Communication (CSC) will be hosting weekly drop-ins to help answer your questions and guide your research.

Globus Plus

Globus is a secure and reliable research data management service. Using Globus, you can quickly transfer data between your local computer, and many research computing endpoints worldwide. Globus Plus allows you to share your collections to other members of the Globus network.

QReserve Appointment Booking Tool

QReserve can function as an online appointment booking tool.

Google Drive

Non-FIPPA compliant. Google Drive is a file hosting service that provides cloud storage, file synchronization, and can be used as a file-sharing service.

SnagIt

Snagit is a desktop software for both Windows and Mac that lets you take screenshots, edit your images, and record lightweight screen recordings.

Camtasia

Camtasia is a desktop capturing software that also supports video editing.

Kaltura

Kaltura is a video platform to capture, upload, edit, publish, and embed video content directly in Canvas.

Zoom

Zoom allows for video, audio, and screen sharing between participants.

UNIWeb

UNIWeb is an academic research network with CV management. It is a central repository for a researcher’s academic history. UNIWeb is a tool that gives researchers the ability to collaborate with colleagues in secure and private networks, streamline funding applications with Canadian Common CV (CCV) syncing capabilities, and manage and track the outputs of research groups and projects.

Human Ethics Review: Clinical

Supports the process of obtaining required CREB (clinical research ethics board) review and approval for any research that involves surgery, clinical interventions, exercise programs, and/or the analysis of clinical data. Consultations are available for general inquiries, minimal risk post-approval activities, SAEs, and fee payment.
