University Industry Liaison Office (UILO)

The University-Industry Liaison Office facilitates partnerships between researchers, industry, government and non-profit organizations, including relationship development, negotiating research contracts, and finding pathways for commercialization.

Snagit is a desktop software for both Windows and Mac that lets you take screenshots, edit your images, and record lightweight screen recordings.

Camtasia

Camtasia is a desktop capturing software that also supports video editing.

Kaltura

Kaltura is a video platform to capture, upload, edit, publish, and embed video content directly in Canvas.

Zoom

Zoom allows for video, audio, and screen sharing between participants.

IT Infrastructure Consultation

Consultations on purchasing grant funded computing equipment and procurement of equipment. Advice can be provided on available shared digital research infrastructure (i.e. core facilities, data sets, etc.) and software licenses.

Workday

Workday is UBC’s core enterprise system. Workday is where you can view your T4, manage your vacation days, submit reimbursement expenses, etc.

Research Lab Environment Support

Specialized technical support for faculty researchers in a research environment including software install, equipment configuration and deployment, and generalized support for technical issues.

Solutions and Systems Architecture Support

Assistance in developing hardware, software, and workflow solutions to support research outcomes.

Research Account Management

When all funding documentation and compliance requirements are in place, the Office of Research Services will open a research account, or Project Grant (PG), on your behalf.
